(Photo by Susan McCartney} Richard G. Simon named F'mancial Aid Director A Lewis County native has been appointed as the new Financial Aid Director for Glenville State College. Richard G. Simon, 25, son of Gary and Margaret Simon of Roanoke, was named recently to replace the former Director, Daniel J. Perkins, who resigned. The 1971 Lewis County High School gradute worked as an Educa- tion Awareness Counselor for the West Virginia Board of Regents and was stationed at GSC. As an Education Awarness Counselor, Simon acted as a mobile financial aid information specialist, talking to high school students. He held the position for three and one- half years. Simon graduated from GSC in 1975, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education / Social Science, and has taken 12 hours towards his Master of Arts Degree in Speech Communication. He is married to the former Debra R. McCartney, daughter of Raymond McCartney of Weston and Mavis Small of Buckhannon. They are the parents of two children, Bryan, three, and Brad, one. Richard G.
