10 The Glenville Democrat/ Pathfinder May 12, 1977 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE OPENING. GRADING. OR CONSTRUCTION OR CLOSURE OF ANY STREET OR ALLEY IN THE CITY OF GLENVILLE. WEST VIRGINIA. WHEREAS. it is deemed necessary by the Common Council of the City of Glenville to create this ordinance in order to protect the property. welfare and safety of the citizens of the City of Glenvtlle: and, NOW.THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENVILLE, THAT: That from and after the effective date of this ordinance, no street, road or alley in said City of Glenville shall be opened, graded, or constructed or ck)sed without prior approval of a simple maiority of the Common Council of the City of Glenville. PENALTIES. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall upon conviction, be fined net less then Ten Dollars ($10.00). or more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). and/or be imprisoned in Jail fer a term. net exceeding thirty (30) days. or both. ad any violation continuing from day to day shall constitute separate violations and may be prosecuted as such. II is the intent of the Common Council of the City of Glenville that each separate provision of this ordinance shall be deemed independent of all ether previsions herein, and it is further the inteetion of the Common Council of the City of Glenville that if any provision of this ordinance be declared to be invalid, all other provisions therein shall remain valid and in full force and effect, and enforceable. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in c.nflict herewith, or inconsistent herewith, are h,.reby repealed to that extent and no further.
