Sandy Eva T. Sandy, 130, of Glenville, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, in a Weston hospital following an extended illness. She was born April 27, 1896, at Walker, Wood County, a daughter of the late Sheridan and Belle Same Peggs. She was married to William M. Sandy. Surviving are two sons, Malden Lee Sandy, Baltimore, Md. and Waitman M. Sandy, Glenville; two brothers, Wilbur Peggs, Troy and Arch Peggs, Glenville; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Sponaugle and Mrs. Katy Ables, both of Glenville and five grandchild- ran. Four brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Sandy was a former employee of Louie Glass Company and had attended the Snyder Church on Stewarts Creek. Emery E. Adams Emery E. Adams, 82, of Troy, died at 12:05 a.m. in Stonewall Jackson ,, Memorial Hospital, following a three month illness. He was born on March 28, 1894, in Ritchie County, a son of the late Lillie Adams. On Nov. 9, 1914, he was married to Elva E. Fleshor, who survives. Mr. Adams was a Protestant and a retired farmer and laborer. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Geneva Matheny of Sistersville, Mrs. Marguerite Broadwater of Bridgeport, - Mrs. Kathleen Sleeth of Linn, Mrs. Helen Bush and Mrs Genelea Gross, both of Weston. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 5 at the Floyd Funeral Home, Weston. Burial was at the Troy I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Troy. ]ennings L. Stonektng ]ennings L. Stoneking, 61. of I20 Rockwell St.. Kent, Ohio, died May 24 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Charles of Ravenna, Ohio and Michael of Kent; three daughters, Mrs. Ford Smith of Elyria, Ohio, Mrs. Blair Cruise of Mantua and Mrs. Gone Early of Salem, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Eva Marie Stoneking of Glenville. Services were May 27 at the S.C. Bissler and Sons Funeral Home with interment at Standing Rock Cemetery. 54 attend Frame anniversary p00erin! Saturday, June 5, 54 relatives and friends came to the Bull Fork home of Mr. and Mrs. Louie Frame, near Tanner, to help them celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Frame's father, Clayton Frymier, {incorrectly listed last week as deceased and her mother took an active part in the celebration. "His parents, Carl and Genieva Whytsoll of Birch River, were also present to help with the parW. Others came from Virginia, Charleston, Sutton, Smith- rills, Glenville, and the Tanner area. One of Mrs. Frame's co-workers at Smithville made and sent a tiered wedding cake for the occasion complete with bride and groom figures on top. Others brought many beautiful gifts. Daughters Diane and Barbara served as hostesses. Their son, Sgt. Johnnie L. Frame, now in Okinawa, was unable to be present. Ellis Country Cousins meet On May 20 the Ellis Country Cousins 4-H club held their monthly meeting. There were 16 members present. The meeting was called to order by David Sprouse and Patty Pritt called the roll. During the meeting the group discussed 4-H field day. After the meeting games were played. On May 22 The Ellis Country Cousins participated in the Gilmer County 4-H field day. The Country Cousins were represented by 14 adults and members. They were Sherwood, David, Ricky, and Rodney Sprouse; Mavis, Tammy, Brennie, Dan and Freddie Lowther; Daisy and Linda Hitt; Herman Radcliff, Patty Pritt and Wands Shackleford. They took second prize for the most persons attending. Those placing in events were; Freddie Lowther-1 st-70 yd. dash; David Sprouse-2nd-50 yd. dash; Dan Lowther-3rd-softball throw; Patty Pritt-2nd-tricycie race and three-leeeed race; Wanda Shackleford -2nd-70 yd. dash, 3 legged-race and THE TOWNE 2nd-3 2nd-3 and Dan Other ! were Hitt, and track Books Galore!!
