He commented upon the outstand- ing defensive performance of his players, particularly Ted Jolliff and Rodnev Somerville. Coach Horning noted that lolliff made eight unassisted tackles and 13 assisted tackles. He said that Somerville was responsible for ten unassisted tackles and two assisted tackles. The two also recovered some Bulldog fumbles.
