Center district. The ninth annual Molasses Festival will be held in Arnoldsburg Sept. 23-25. Molasses will be made every day of the festival, beginning at 2 p.m. Thursday. The King and Queen will be crowned Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and a jazz band will give a concert at 8 p.m. Thursday. There will be a pancake supper from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. Gospel singing will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday with singing by "God's Children" from Parkersburg, "Brighter Side" from Clay County and the "Sojourners" from Weston. The-LKC Coonhunters will have a meet at the Upper West Fork Park beginning at 8 p.m. There will be a chicken barbecue at noon Saturday and a U.K.C. bench show at 2 p.m. A public auction will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Country music entertainment kicks off at 7 p.m. featuring the Jones Boys, tester McCumbers and The Sandy Valley Boys, The Country Aires, The Crystal Mountain Band and The Blue Grass Band from Spencer. The purpose of the meeting is to make short-range highway plans for Planning and Development Region 7. The meetings are being conducted in accordance with a section of the Department's Action Plan for ob- taining public involvement through a series of annual meetings in each of the state's 11 planning regions. Copies of the Department's short- range plans for highway projects in the areas will be handed out during the meetings and will be discussed by officials of the highway depar- tment, including the District Engineers of the two Department districts involved.
