Carl is a brother of Mrs. Norman's husband. They had to cut their visit short due to the death of Gertrude,'s brother, Kyle R. Cole of Beckley. Mr. .nd Mrs. Landis Meadows recenty spent a week visiting their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cunningham, in Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cumpstou and Brad from West Union visited Mr. and Mrs. Clavel James last weekend. Jill McClain and Jim Cumpston from Doddridge County visited Mrs. Maude White September 27. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lytle Sprouse of Steer Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Goodrich of Glenville are proud to announce the birth of their first child, a daughter, born Sepember 29 in a Charleston hospital. The name chosen is Michelle Dawn. The paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Victor Goodrich of Normantown. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dobbins of Grafton, Ohio. Maternal great-grand- paents are Mr. and Mrs. Leamon Moss ot Normantown. Mr. aud Mrs. Delmas Sprouse and and Mrs. Lytle Spre,se and the Barker Mowery family on Sept.mber 25-26. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Sprouse and family who presently live on Steer Creek above the Lyric Sprouse home have purchased the Amos Taggart place on Steer Creek. They plan to move there the first of November sometime. Mr. and Mrs. Taggart are moving to Pennsboro. Barker Mowery entered an Elyria, Ohio hospital Monday, September 27, for treatment of his right eye. Mrs. Macel James traveled to Cass Railroad wih the Senior Citizens Saturday, September 18. Mr. Hugh James and Mr. Junior Whisman recently visited Mrs. Macel James while they were daws from Ohio to attend the funeral services of Elder Roy Conrad. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Daniels and children Rachael and Tad from Clifton Forge, Va. visited Mr. and Mrs. Aubra James on Sept. 25 and 26. Roy Barker, former resident of Gilmor County. was injured by a bull at the Weston livestock market on Tuesday, Sept. 28. Election Day, Nov. 2, is creeping up on us. The school bond is an important item. Be sure to vote. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Carr had the pleasure of a visit from their four daughters over the week end of Oct. 2. The daughters are: Mrs. Lillie Robinson and husband Hay of Sutton; Mrs. Violet Askins of Germantown, FLOWER GIRL--Tracy Kay Plerey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Piercy of Glenville, has been selected as flower girl for Cheryl Carr at the 22rid annum Black Walnut Festival to be held in Spencer Oct. 14, 15 and 1G. Louise Hale of Dayton, Ohio, was here on business and visiting her Aunt Ruby Jean Bush last week. They were shopping in Grantsville on Wednesday. Mr, and Mrs. George Schimmel of St. Albans was visiting Floda Davis last week end and attended the Ox roast in Glenville Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Looman and Thelma Bush were shopping in Glenville Friday.
