It was the responsibility of the new mation to guarantee toits people the freedoms they fought to gain through independence from Great Britain. Although we gained the right to a free press, we also took the responsibility of informing the public through honest and accurate reporting. It is the tradition of a free and responsible press that we strive to uphold today. We work to bring you the latest news from around our community and the surrounding area. We also attempt to enlighten and entertain you with feature articles about local people, places, and happenings. We like to assist you in shopping with classified and display advertisements. In the spirit of a free press, we have written editorials expressing our opinions and published letters offering opposing opinions. We take this opportunity to thank our ad- vertisers and readers who have supported our efforts, and we will continue to make every effort to present our readers with the latest news, features, and the best advertising available in the fine tradition of freedom of the press which has made America great!
