Page 12A --The Glenville Democrat/Pathfinder--- Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004 ,s open A colorful addition to Glenville's social scene is the Glenville Moose Lodge which is offering regular so- cial and fund-raising events on Satur- day evenings. Its next big fund-raiser is an Elimi- nation Dinner set for Sat., Oct. 23. Starting at 6 p.m. with dinner, the Elimination Raffle will provide over $2,000 in prize money to the lucky ticket holders, according to its volun- teer organizers. Moreover, only 200 tickets will be sold, so see any Moose officer to purchase your ticket. Or, just stop by the Lodge itself, which is located across East Main Street from the Go-Mart, to secure your ticket. You neither need to be present to win nor a member to play. Afterwards, Dick Harrison will handle the Karaoke for an evening of singing and danc- ing. Governor Randy Maxwell, Past Governor Dick Harrison, the other officers and the many volunteers have had the foresight, civic-mindedness and generosity to help make Glenville's Moose Lodge an asset for the people of Gilmer County and their guests. Glenville's Hallow- een, Trick or Treat' Glenville"s City Council set the community's official 2004 Hallow- een Neighborhood Trick-or-Treating for Sat., Oct. 30 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Councilman Garry Kight explained his recommended motion by citing the reservations of having a commu- nity- or county-wide event conflict- ing with local football games on Fri- day. The motion was then seconded and passed at the Mon., Oct. 4 Coun- cil meeting. THE F ANNzVEeSAer FZUTA OUR AUTUMN HOURS & NEW IJIIONE NO. MON..FRI., II a.m.-8 p.m. SAT. 12 p.m.-9 p.m. 407 N.
