We will continue to promote and assist any project that will bring jobs and families to the county. We will focus on county wide job creation and job retention through small business growth. We will continue to work with FCI-Gilmer to encourage federal employees to reside in the county to grow our school population and preserve school board jobs. Passing the levy will guarantee a matching $30,000 state development grant. We will continue to assist local agencies with the application for Budget Digest monies. Accounting and payroll will be performed by the County Clerk arid subject to annual audit The future of Gilmer County is dependant on the continuation of our charge to sell Gilmer County as the place to locate.
