That the purpose for which additional funds are needed is to provide funds for the following: A. Gilmer County Ambulance Service To provide for general expenses of operation B. Gitmer County Fire Department To provide for general expenses of operation 2. That the amounts considered necessary for each of the above for each fiscal yea r and the total for fou r years after allowance for uncollectible taxes is as follows: PERY R A. That the total amount necessary to carry out the above purposes, after making allowances for uncoilectibles taxes, is approximately $186,000.00 for each fiscal year, and an approximate total of $744,000.00 for the four(4) year levy period. 4. That the separate and aggregate assessed valuation of each class of taxable property within Gilmer County, West Virginia, is as follows: Class I $ 3,545,324 Class II $ 58,771,536 Class III $150,505.070 Class IV $18~897,354 Aggregate $231,719,284 5 That the purposed additional rate of levy in cents per each $100.00 of assessed value on each class of taxable property within Gilmer County, West Virginia, is as follows: Class I 2.51 cents Class II 5.02 cents Class Ill 10.04 cents Class IV 1004 cents 6. That the purposed nornber of years to which the additional levy shall apply are the fiscal years beginning July 1, 2005, July 1,2006, July 1. 2007 and July 1,2008 which will not exceed four fiscal years. 7. That the County Commission of Gilmer County, West Virginia, will not issue bonds upon approval of the proposed increased levy. 8. That the question of the additional levy shall be submitted to a vote at the General Election, to be held on the 2nd day of Nevember, 2004. 9. That notice calling such election shall be given by publication of the notice attached hereto as Exhibit A, as a Class II-O Legal advertisement, once a week for two successive weeks in the publication area for Gilmer County, West Virginia. Furtherrnore, such notice shall be published within 14 consecu tive days next preceding the General Election scheduled to be held on the 2rid day of November 2004. 10. We look forward to your future delicious homemade treats. We went through the high school parade last week. Those who went were: Oscar Dennison, Kate Jenkins, Mary Alice Lockard and Pauline Radabaugh. The staff that went was Brenda M:L,'ks, Amber James, and Becky Kelley. We had so much fun. The residents really enjoyed the horse that was in the parade that came to our van window to visit us while we were waiting for the parade to begin. There seems to never be a dull moment when we go in the van to an activity. We just have so much fun! BREAKFAST WITH SANTA We will be hosting a breakfast with Santa Claus on Sat., Dec. 4. For the Halloween holiday, yon always- think of the childRn dressing up in silly costumes, but here at SunBridge for Glen- ville, several of our residents dressed in costumes and had their pictures taken. It was so much fun. We did make-up for the pretty costumes and had wild hair for the silly ones. We enjoy doing fun things-not just sitting on the porch talking about the old days: we like to be silly, too! We have posted the pictures on the activity board for everyone's view- ing. Stop by soon and see if you can guess "who's who." One last note for this week...We went ~1 the Breast Cancer Women's Walk ar~ 1~ I college track last week.We were so gla~to I be invited. The residents who we~ going had talked about this event for days. Those who attended were Leota Swiger, Sue Mackey, and Pearl Pyles (a proud caneet survivor), and the staff n~mhers attending were: Brenda Marks, Becky Kelly, and Amber James. Although it was raining out- side, we didn't let that dampen our spirits. Pearl was even given the opponur:ty to share her personal story of how she over- came cancer. We love each of our msideots, but when one can go out and talk to others about something so personal, it re.ally makes you feel great knowing that they love you just the same to share something so private with you.
