G//mer beck menu to feature Bicentennial treats Gilmer County ttigh School will again feature another Bicentennial menu on Thursday, November 20. This month's menu is in keeping with the Thanksgiving tradition. Each item has a bit of history attached to it to enhance the theme. Only about 55 of the Mayflower's passengers survived to sit down at that Thanksgiving dinner and of these only five were women. These women must have worked hard and with few cooking utensils to prepare the feast for the members of the colony plus the 90 Indian men that came with Massasoit. Three high school cooks will prepare the following menu to be served to over 300 students and adults: Plymouth turkey, gravy, cranberry bog salad. Miles Standish mashed pota- toes, Pilgrim's dessert. Massasoit dressing and harvest rolls. ~, h++ol .It~l ()If+, ,' ~,~Hqdi+'-+~ ~,'t' l':', lir,-,l~ t~lhvtl,F Iil'tl,t!t, +~ *,t;l 111
