Bartenslager appeared before the court on a Lewis County ticket charging him with leaving the scene of an accident, upon a plea of guilty a fine of $81.00 was imposed. • State vs. Bobby Townsend, appeared before the court and paid $66.00 on a prior conviction of speeding. • State vs. Shannon Henry, appeared before the court on a charge of speeding, defen- dant entered a plea of guilty and paid a fine $61.00. Burser, appeared before the court on a charge of failure to extinguish fire, defendant en- tered a plea of guilty and paid a fine of $81.00. • State vs. Matthew Miller, a warrant was issued charging the defendant with cru- elty to an animal. Circuit Court News On Friday, November 8, 1991 Chief Judge A. L. Sommerville, Jr. presided over his regular mo- tion day in Gilmer County. Sev- eral motions were presented. In the case of State vs. Garry. Kevin Dobbins, Dobbins was sentenced to not less than 1 nor more than l0 years in the peni- tentiary upon his former pica of guilty to burglary. He was im- mediately remanded to the Gilmer County Jail to await transport to the penitentiary. He will be given credit for time sewed. In the case of State vs. Calvin Campbell, Campell did not ap- pear.
