Be asia Luzader and Wanda Self were in Weston, Wednesday shopping. Dossie Alkire is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Carris Singleton and Mrs. Myrtle Post on Dusk Camp. There was a suprise birthday party held for Mrs. Myrtle Jamison Sunday. It was given by her children. Mr. William (Bill) Luzader had to go to Parkersburg Friday to have tests and X-rays at the St. Josephs hospital. He was accompanied by his wife Erma, son Dale and Son-in-law Charles Buckhannon. * Mr. and Mrs. John Rowh and his sister Claudia Wilfong were in Glenville, Friday on business. Lula Belle Godfrey and Joie Keith McCord and children were also in Glenville Friday on business. Mr. Arden Groves has hunted all during deer seasonand failed to'get his buck. We wish him better luck next time. Randall Jamison and Joey Rowh have been in for two weeks visiting Randy's morn and dad, Mr. and Mrs. O.F. Jamison, during deer season. Joey got his buck Friday. Forrest Post and family were in for one week for deer season. They went back to Ohio Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Holland Self and granddaughter were in GIGvilla on business F rid ay. Mr. John Blake was released from the Calhoun County Hospital in Grantsville Wedrsday and is home doing very well. The community would like to wish him a speedy recovery. Lois Luzader was home from school due to a sore throat and cold. We hope she feels better and can return to school Monday. Got well 8 o(lcL There is a revival meeting being held this week at the Dusk Camp Church of God. It is being held by Rev. Danny Anderson. The Veterans Administrations said today more veterans are becoming eligible for waiver of GI life insurance premium payments because of physical disabilities. VA Regional Director Sam A. Tiano reminded veterans that "all National Service Life Insurance policies beginning with World War II provide for waiver of premium payments in some instances of total disability." "A veteran having this insurance may not be required to pay premiums if he or she becomes totally disabled before reaching age 6 and the disability has existed for at least six consecutive months," Tiano said. But veterans were cautioned that the waiver of premiums is not automatic ,and must be applied for. There are currently more than 157,000 veterans who have insurance on which the premiums have been waived due to total disability. ========================== Audry Conrad Celebrating the holiday with Mrs. Goldie Siebert were: Wands Rodgers. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Robert Conrad were her mother, Mrs. Goldie Collins, of Jonesboro, Tenn., and Mr. and James R. Conrad of Toledo, Ohio. Mrs. Collins also visited her brother and family, Mr. Delford Rndgers of Indian Fork. Mr. Bob Bennett and family formerly of Sand Fork are visiting his mother Mrs. Bernidine Bennett. Have your news and advertising in early to avoid disappointment. Q I will soon be drawing unemployment compensation. Will this have any effect on my receiving veterans educational allowance? A - Income is not considered in the payment of education allowances. Rates of payment are based generally on hours of attendance or the cost of the course. Q - I have an automobile in which the VA has installed adaptive equipment. If I subsequently purchase other vehicles, will the VA install equipment in them? A - Yes. However, adaptive equipment will not be provided for more than one conveyance at a time and for not more than three conveyances in a two-year period. Q - If a widow receiving Dependency and Indemnity Compen- sation becomes employed, does she lose her right to this benefit? A - No. Income is not a factor for DIC.
