It is not known how entry was made into the building, but the office was broken into. To do this, two panes of glass were carefully removed from the office door. Nothing of any importance was stolen--just some candy--and no damage was done to the office. There was evidence that those involved had gone through the cabinets and drawers. Tanner, like most schools, does not keep money in the building just in case something of this nature does occur, The matter is being investigated by the Gilmer County Detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
